We are keen to build a few raised beds at the nursery school we run. Since they are for use by 3-4yo, they would likely be lower than normal.
Railway sleepers seem the easy option as they just stack and are wide to kneel on, but are quite pricey. I was wondering about using something smaller, and building a frame. A bit more work but less material. For instance using something more like scaffold plank dimensions, on edge. Maybe even put a plank flat along the edges to kneel on.
Any tips or pictures of what you've built are welcome.
