raised decking over tarmac

I building a decking area over tarmac, does anyone have any ideas on how to secure the vertical posts to the tarmac?

I can't use fence post supports as they would be too big, the raised portion of the deck will only be 5" off the tarmac.

Use engineer brick & mortar bedded on tarmac.
