Hello

What’s the maximum workable uneveness between plasterboard edges when skimming? I’m wondering how big a problem this one is going to be. And how can you fix it? It’s square edge plasterboard. Do I need to measure it? Thanks

A plaster worth their salt should be able to feather it out ....have you used different thickness boards or trapped something to get a lip?

Thanks. No, it's the same thickness plasterboard. I didn't do it myself but the person who did said he struggled with the joists not being level. (I'm not surprised, nothing in this house is square or level.) I know he was using packers so I guess this is the best the could do.

Thanks. He was diligent in how he fixed the screws in.

I asked because a friend had commented ‘you’ll never get that ceiling looking good with that ridge’. I feel more optimistic about it now.
