Can you help? This is a new build. Builder hasn't been paid yet. I think the ridge tiles are laid the wrong way around. Can you confirm or am i wrong. The ones on all the other hipped ridges run the other way.

Lol. I think woody was looking at your roofers website earlier today.

So am I right in thinking that this may cause problems in future and needs to be rectified. To my limited opinion this will allow water in. Am I right? Thanks for your input.

It's a dry ridges system, so the membrane underneath should stop any leaks that get through. If you get him to redo it, make sure he renews the membrane underneath.

Because when they turn the tiles round, the holes for the bolts will be in a different place. You reckon that wouldn't be a problem then.

Yes the tiles are the wrong way around. The fact that these are different to the other hips is also a bit of a give-away.

There would be no need to renew the membrane, unless that itself is defective.

It looks like that joint has been pointed up with mortar (?), which ould be odd for a dry hip system.
