Rangemaster Leisure 110 oven problem

Hi all , and thankyou for looking, and hopefully helping me out.

One of my ovens comes on initially at low heat then jumps to full heat regardless of the knob position ( other than the off ) There is no adjustment on the control knob between 1 to 9, it stays at full heat.

Could anyone help in telling me what the problem could be. I am thinking towards the gas control valve workings......

The way it starts is normal ie small flame to start with and once the flame supervision device heats up it then goes to high flame.As the oven is cold it will stay on high until the oven has reached the desired cooking temp which is selected by the oven control numbers 1--9.Try operating the oven for 10/15 mins on 2 and see if the flame reduces in height.If it fails to reduce then I would suspect the thermostat has failed and repair is not possible,only a new control and this shoud only be done by a Gas Safe registered engineer who has cooker qualifications
