It's either going to be by squeezing the case in the appropriate places to release the retaining lugs adn removing the back (trial and error) or by undoing the screws holding the back on (which may be concealed behind any labels on the back)

I've seen equipment with calibration stickers over the screws, which is a PITA if the calibration still holds.

Indeed. But I wonder if that might not be deliberate, on the basis that if someone has been messing about inside then the calibration may no longer be valid - who knows what they got up to in there?
