A manual on its own will not fix a boiler!

Likely to be the diverter valve failed.

A knuckle scraping job.

The switch pusher also falls off and can get lost. A little glue helps though.

I have already changed the diaphragm, need the wire Nos so i can short out the switch to prove cause

You dont need them unless you have disturbed the connections.

It sounds as if you have lost the switch pusher?

An inspection mirror will show if the pin is coming out and activating the switches.

You can take the switches off the valve and manually activate them on test.

Then swear like hell as you try to get the retaining clip back in on the switch :evil:

Why they had to have the DV this way round is anybody's guess :roll:
 
My long forceps deal with the retaining clip reasonably well.

But the whole job is not one that I would ever look forward to.

I met an ex-servivce agent for R-H and he said that he had got a diverter valve change down to 45 minutes! I wonder why he ceased being a service agent though?
