Hi all
I have a Ravenheat 85 A combi, not a lover of it but could be worse.

My pet hate it the length of time it take for the igniter and burner to come on when I want DHW. You turn it on and it take 15 / 20 second before burner comes on, which is a long time when you are waiting for hot water and on top of that the unavoidable wait for the water to heat up and travel down the pipes which can be well over a minute / minute and 1/2
The CH and the DHW are fine its just this 15 second delay...... my question is it is adjustable? a plumber did tell me that there is an adjustable pot on the PCB.

Some boilers have a built in CH delay eg boiler turns off on temp , than a delay kicks in , to stop the heating continually short cycling eg rapin on / off ect these delays are in many instances adjustable on the boiler electronics , I am not aware of any combi that uses or has built in any hot water delay ?

problem will more than likley be due to a slight blockage within the flue or the venturi. This would require cleared by a gas safe engineer

Thanks for the info but would that not cause problems with the CH also? that fires up more or less instantly when I turn the boiler on and select CH and heats wonderful, well as wonderful as a Ravenheat can do !!
