I have not had my heating turned on for a number of months and the only time the boiler comes on is when I use the hot water taps. Some of the radiators are turned on and some are turned off.
The problem is that 2 to 3 times a day, the boiler (I think) makes a very loud groaning noise for about 20 seconds which starts quiet and gets louder. When the noise is at it's loudest, I can hear the pipes vibrating.
I've recently had the boiler checked by British Gas and it is working fine and they are baffled as to what the issue is. I'm really concerned that whatever is making the pipes vibrate will eventually cause a burst in a pipe!
Please help!!!!!!
