Hi

I've traced through a few threads now and i still can't find a solution to my problem - the only thing i have discovered is that my boiler is hated amoungst the general population.

Please excuse my lack of knowlegde - I've never really had to do anything with a boiler before and this is what we had when we moved in.
Anyway,

My boiler the other day i noticed it was leaking - Green liquid on the floor.
This resulted in the pressure dropping to 0.5 - now my boiler won't work until it's at 1bar min which i've learnt is standard.

I found where the leak was coming from and tightened up a valve - No more leak.
I then opened the valve to re fill the system, slowly too about 1.5 bar. Then i put my heating on and realised the pressure increased slighlty, i knew this was normal but then it kept rising before i knew it the gauge was reading just under 4!

I turned the heating off, found a red circular dial - opened that and it drained the system to about 1.5 bar and put the heating on. This seemed to have solved all my issues. However when i went to bed i turned the heating off and woke up this morning and there it was the tank had lost all the pressure, well it was at 0.5 and not increasing when i turned the heating on.

So now i'm at a brick wall with what to do, i don't want to call someone out if it's something simple or if i'm just doing something wrong.

I have attatched teo pictures of what my pipes look like and also the boiler.
Thanks in advance.

Sorry, here are the images if they are any help to anyone.
