Hello folks, new here and a complete newbie to plumbing.
LS100T is approx 4 years old - first 'service' 4 months ago together with 'fix' of intermittent hot water at all outlets (boiler not firing when hot tap opened) - was told by Plumber 1 that a filter on the diverter valve was changed (??).
Related problems:
# With timer in off position, can hear click at boiler when hot water tap opened, but boiler doesn't fire and no hot water at any outlet
# With CH on, hot water available, but can go cold within 2-3 minutes
# With CH on, hot water takes a good minute of tap running before hot water available.
'Filter change' works for 2 weeks , then same problem again - called same plumber 1 back out, reckons its the diverter valve itself, but fails to come around at agreed time - i cut my losses and try another plumber.
Plumber 2 looks at problem, reckons its the timer itself, possible electrical fault? Says replace part TM6192?
Questions - does this sound feasible? Secondly, is it something a complete novice can do or do i need to call someone out?
