ravenheat rsf 82e hot water problem

Hi Agile, you're right I've not got the kit to measure the resistance on the sensor and it was more a way of whittling down common problems.

Have you any idea how much a diverter valve would be? I've heard they are a pig to change so would it be something I would change myself or definitely get a plumber in to change it?

Regards

The test meter that I take on public transport visits costs less that £8 !

Unless its faulty there is no point in replacing and in any case its not likely to be the cause of your problem.

The diverter valve can usually be repaired. They are not very easy even for a professional and I would have to allow at least 75 minutes.

The last one that I did I had to take back to base to hold in a vice and heat up with a gas torch to get the big nut off. 75 min job turned into 160 min job.
