Having just installed our rayburn I am finding that it doesnt seem to be reaching temp. its a 400K pressure jet and despite the fact that turning the dial to 7 should mean 200C its more like 110C.
Any advice on this?
indeed you are correct....that's 'he with the selective hearing' installed it
tbh his father is a central heating engineer/plumber and himself is pretty handy around the house.
should I be calling in the cavelery or is it something that dh can sort out with a bit of tweaking?
I would advise a service as its new(in your house) it may need setting up(commission).
what flue are you using is it the same
The baffles flue and burner need checking
look on the OFTEC web site and they will tell you who's nearest engineer
it literally had a service a week before we removed it from the previous house, so perhaps it needs FIL to come in and have a look see.
The flue is brand new, from the ceiling upwards is twinwall k vent
I was going to suggest you place your Father Inlaws favourite dish in the oven and invite him round but it will have to be something that only needs a low heat.
Then as he is siping his aperitif you can turn to him and say, "this ovens not getting very hot"
Tim
PS to be honest I know nothing about Rayburns but was like most blokes was naturaly attracted by the presence of a blonde.
If the oven isn't getting up to temperature it wll be something to do with the oven thermostat, providing the flue gas measurements are correct. What was the flue gas results when it was serviced?
