I had a new Wylex consumer unit fitted a couple of weeks ago. After the electrician left I switched the cooker on and the RCD tripped. He came back and took it off the RCD, all was fine for a couple of days. Now when you switch the cooker off the RCD trips even though its not on the RCD side! The RCD is A Rated. Any ideas?

Do you mean when you switch the cooker on?

If so, then the electrician may have forgotten to move the neutral to the non RCD side.

Either way, he's not done his job properly, so get him back in to rectify.
