Hi
Hopefully someone can help me, I have a new shed and the previous one had power to a consumer unit inside the shed, there is a join outside. I have moved this and connected it back up but when I flick the shed fuse on the main rcd in the house it trips, none of the consumer unit in the shed is switched on yet.

I am guessing that this would point to a problem maybe in the join? or the cable itself? if the main fuse in the cu is still off this would be a problem before it right?

Just trying to troubleshoot here,

Thanks

Tell us more abut the joint, what sort of cable, how many wires, anything that may offer a clue.

We may ask for some pictures too

It could be something simple as a dead short. As above, more information and photos of CU in the shed and definitely the rcd tripping?
