The WB 30CDi was installed last year and a MT10 timer fitted.

I've now connected a Seimens RDJ10RF, wireless thermostat.

I've disconnected the old timer as I assumed that it would override the new unit even if set to off, which would keep the boiler off regardless of any input from the new unit, right?

Is there any need to do so or could I have left it as it was? I would take the timer off altogether, but the blanking plate was taken by the installer.
