Re-attaching pressure sensitive pipes to divertor valve

Hi ppl,

I have changed the diaphragm inside the divertor valve in my Halstead Ace boiler, im having major problems re-attaching the pressure sensitive pipes back into the valve.

Every time i try, the pipes look offset slightly as they slot in and when i put the clips on and start the water supply, they begin to leak.

Help needed, or it will be a cold night!!

Are those the little black rubber rings attached the end of the pipes?

You have to dry them and add KY jelly to both male and female parts and then they will slide in smoothly.
