Hi,
How do you know if a pump is old and in need of replacing. I assume if its noisy, any other ways? If taken off what signs should I be looking for to see if it is in poor condition?
Thanks again for your help.

Nothing really. I have a rev counter, but you can't tell much. If it's a grundfos in a clean system it should last 20 years, if it's a Dab in a dirty system, maybe 2!

You got one of those press on chronometric old fashioned rev counters :?: ...I got one off ebay  Smiths chronocounter, I think
