Re open doorway

Previous property owners blocked up a doorway with I think breeze block.
I want to reopen the doorway.
Is it as simple as cut it out again?
Any advice and methods pleaae.

depends on how it was done but probably.
they should have tied the brick/blockwork in, either by physically tiring the blocks together, as in a brick pattern, or using metal starter ties screwed to the original face.

Worth an investigatorary look, find the edge of the opening and make a hole to see what they have done.
if they used metal ties, the door should open with less effort and repair than if blocked fully
