I am wanting to re-route the cold water mains supply to my combination boiler. I understand how to recharge the CH system should I have to, however what I am wanting help with is... if I cut off the supply to the boiler and cut the pipe to re-route the piping how will this affect the feed to the boiler which generates the hot water to my taps. Can I do the work and just reconnect the supply... will the combi boiler work as previous to the work.

You can cut the cold supply to the boiler without a problem.
Just do it the boiler won't care.
It only heats the water when cold mains is passing through it and
the central heating side is sealed from the cold main anyway.
