Just check the seal for condition, pop it off the end and check it for thickness/condition. If it looks ok it usually will be, not a lot to replacing it if needs be. If it's a 1/2" end and has a flat rubber washer then you can sometime turn them over to get rid of the ridge.
Doesn't need to be super tight remember, just until it nips up then no more than 1/4 turn.
