I am about to order online a B&Q upvc door and would like a bit of reassurance my measurements and thinking are ok!

The frame size, inlcuding sill is 2085mm x 920mm. It also states it is to fit an opening 2100mm x 930mm.

I have measured the opening and from brick to brick is 2140mm x 940mm

After looking at the bottom of the existing wood frame I notice the frame is not seated directly onto the brick, but is supported on about 20-30mm of mortar.

I know the door will fit in this opening, but will I encounter problems installing the new door because the opening is over the recommended sizes?

Standing outside the door the handle is on the left hand side and the hinges on the right ... with the door opening inwards. I take it this is a right hand opening door?

Advice and reassurance would be very much appreciated

Thanks in advance

That's okay and you can get many difference type of pvc moulding to hide gap etc......
