4 bed , 4 bathroom, 4 reception room barn with lots of land outside (some of which will require significant lighting).

What would be the best CU to give me plenty of capacity for new circuits (external feeds for garden features etc??)

Regards

Dave

John??

Not noticed before, but is that SWA at the bottom of that pic glanded off?

Sorry!

My mistak.

It's one of that Yorkshire gits, oh, hi Rob... it's one of Rob's, not yours.

The one you linked to I thought it was your piccy...

You've just come in from the pub, haven't you? I can see a heap of recent posts with your name on

No, the SWA is not glanded off properly.

It just runs straight into the CU

It's on my list of things to do.

Honest. It is 8)

Based on your post I would have 3 CU's. A nice big MEM one with plenty of RCBO's for the house, a submain feeding a nice MK CU in the barn and a second submain feeding a Hager CU for the outside lighting etc located near the main loads.

For the outside lights I would use Osram lamps and I wouldn't fit lv or mains downlights anywhere because they are far too chavey.

And if you fancy a spot of lunch I can also recommend the Co-op who do a fantastic range of ready to eat meals.

Did I miss anyone?

I've got one of them

1) Win the lottery
2) Marry Claudia Schiffer
3) Redecorate the bedroom
4) Mow the lawn

Don't you mean
1) Win the lottery
2) Marry Claudia Schiffer
3) Pay somebody to redecorate the bedroom and mow the lawn.

Seriously, you won't believe this, but I have not had a drink (let alone in a pub) for at least 6 months!

I don't drink a lot at the best of times, and have been in & out of hospital with my various ailments a lot last year, so have just not drunk anything alcoholic...

Thanks - that sounds like I would have plenty of spare capacity.

Thought someone would say that but I cant stand conventional light fittings plus the ceilings are fairly low - so halogen downlighters it is!!
