Recessed gas meter box in solid walls

Hi,

I am trying to figure out where I can move my gas meter to (as in have it moved to, not touch it myself!) and was wondering whether recessed boxes are allowed to be installed in solid walls as well as cavity walls or whether there are some regs that disallow this?

they can go in solid walls doesnt have to be cavity wall
