Just been on laying this the last few days. As you can see it's got plenty of character some of which I would like to preserve as I think sanding it right back will make it look too uniform.

What's the best way to get a nice finish while maintaining the reclaimed feel. Is if as simple as Light sand and oil or am I being wishful?

Thanks in advance.

I would have said that it's too far gone.

The different character will still exist if you sand it right back, and stain, or leave unstained.
Sanding will show up faults as well.

I have parquet that I had sanded back and the different blocks each have an individuality to add character.

hopefully a flooring guy will chip in?

Hi mate,

Too far gone in what sense? I'm happy for it to have faults etc as I want that tough industrial look I'm more concerned with loosing that if you get me.

Cheers
