I have a Vax small cylinder vacuum, and the hose has come away from the end (not the vacuum end, the end that sucks up) I tried to reconnect it but it just falls away, on closer inspection it looks like it was held into the black plastic part of the hose with an orange type glue, is there anyways to reconnect the hose? I dont wanna buy yet another new hoover.

The part thats come away is circled red (although this isnt our hoover its same concept)

Not sure about the vax type, but dysons have a boss that screws into the pipe & is then glued into the connector. I would have thought that araldite would have secured yours if you can remove all the old hose & glue remnants.

I would have thought it was worth a try, a small kit, of a tube of adhesive & a tube of hardener, will only cost about £3

no waste of time and glue

you clean out all "holder" put new hose in then add "glue"
"glue" sets job done?

pipe flexes comes away from "glue" and falls out.

it is probably better to

A) Buy a new complete Hose from appliance shop

B) Buy new cleaner, but try option A first

C) Which ever you did, dont pull cleaner by its hose again

Well yeah I am, can you get it at B&Q? I have never heard of the stuff so dunno if its specialist stuff.

how old is this cleaner?

if its over 2 get a new one, and dont pull it by the hose
