Expansion vessels

Reds for central heating whites for unvented. Why not vies versa and what can be the results if they are fitted to the opposite system.

A central heating exp vessell will rust so not the best to be bathing in !
As for colours well I guess the white vessells match the unvented cylinders.

central heating expansion vessel's in some boilers are silver! white for solar thermal installation, there are blue aswell. probably not good to mix i guess if you put a red(central heating) on domestic the internal of the vessel may rust, they will be made of different metals/alloys and rubber membrane will be made from different stuff.
