I have bought a lovely old towel radiator which unfortunately has 3/4 valves, these ones in fact:

I want to connect this to 15mm pipe or i"if I must" replace the valves with 15mm valves.

Is there such a simple thing as a 3/4" male to 1/2" female adaptor or could I even use a 15mm to 22mm compression coupler using the existing valves ?

Such as this http://www.screwfix.com/p/reducing-coupler-compression-fitting-15-22mm/68500

Or is it more complicated.

3/4 Unions going to 15mm copper tube?

In which case just use a 15mm compression coupling to go up inside the valve in place of the bush.

Use Loctite 55 on the threads to seal them to the valve.

You can then use Chrome to match the valve.

Cheers Dan, I'll go with the first one as its cheaper. I am doing the renovation on a tight budget and the rad only cost me £15 off Ebay so £58 on two valves would kind of blow the savings out of the water.

I take it when you say "just use a 15mm compression coupling to go up inside the valve in place of the bush" you mean the 15-22 that I thought was the answer ?

Once again, cheers

Update: It turns out it wasn't 22mm, more 3/4". Anyway, a 3/4" to 15mm reducer sorted it out and the rad is happily in place.

Thanks to all.
