i've replaced a pump on a Y-Plan heating system. To do this I drained the system through the drain off valve on a downstairs radiator. Refilled the system by bleeding the rads and valve on the pump.

Pilot light on boiler had gone out and over heat limit thermostat had tripped. Relit boiler pump is working valve is working, pipe work near pump and valve is getting hot, but radiators and water are not.

The boiler (potterton Prima) is not firing and the piolet light has gone out again.

Would appreciate any suggestions

Release air from vent point on pipe from motorised valve into the HW cylinder.
