Refitting section of carpet & underlay following a leak.

Due to a leak from upstairs WC I had to pull up the carpet and underlay to allow them (and the wooden floor) to dry out. Getting them back neatly into place is rather more difficult than expected. Is there any equipment that I require to make this task possible?

carpet fitter is best, my brother was a fitter. I think the underlay should be stapled and the carpet stretched back into place and tucked back in.

They used a big claw to stretch it and a weird rounded knife, think some use a bolster to tuck it into place.
