Afternoon all. This might possibly come under "decorating", but I'll try here first.
Attached is a photo of the plaster coving on my daughter's landing ceiling. To the left of the crack about 600mm of coving is loose, on the right of the crack its still solidly fixed to the wall, and I'm just wondering how to proceed with a repair. As a DIYer without further advice, I'd probably opt for carefully removing the section of coving, then tidying up underneath, applying plasterboard adhesive and putting the loose piece back. However, I'm not confident that it'll come down as one section, nor that adhesive alone will hold what is probably a hefty piece of coving without the support of screws.
Any constructive advice welcome.
