Reform party ditch all the tax cuts they promised

...So June Gammon ...

But you believed June the Gammon, because it you couldnt be bothered to think about it

Don't be racist mate, we were just having a friendly discussion :)
Do you not see how dangerous misinformation is ?
Some people lap it up and believe it without thinking
If the cap fits...
I thought only white middle-aged white men could be gammons.... :ROFLMAO:
.... just angry middle aged man, ....
Middle aged white men ......
.... angry, middle-aged white man.
etc.

Those that think gammons is a racist comment have to keep changing their definition in order to make their accusation work. :ROFLMAO:

Why do we pay more than other countries do for electricity (and indeed for everything else)? Because most of that money doesn't go on the actual electricity, it goes on the government's unnecessary pet projects, which are always purportedly concerned with helping the poor people of other countries, and never of benefit to the British who voted for said government. This is the communism that I often mention. Britain's modern governments have been effectively communist, transferring tax revenues to "worthy" causes. Look at Hungary's electricity price in the graph compared to Britain's. Hungary's government is emphatically patriotic and does not let immigrants in.
Do you ever stop lying?

Seriously Spline, why do you post a stream of lies?

The reason electricity and gas prices shot up is because of fossil fuels.

Oil giant BP has 'more cash than we know what to do with' after almost £10bn profits

BP boss Bernard Looney, who has splashed out on a £5.2million apartment, is set for a bumper bonus

Hungarys electricity is state owned…..what you would call “communist”

U.K. electricity is privately owned…..that’s capitalism, what you believe in.

SPLINE that’s is the exact opposite of what you claim, ya muppet

He is repeatedly posting misinformation.

He should be banned
I'm all for free speech

But deliberate repeated lies and misinformation does get close to needing to be stopped.

Free speech comes with responsibilities attached, as it always has.

Support Tories, reform, libs, labour, greens etc by all means. But lay off the russian biased propaganda.

Serious question, how come other countries pay much less?

Oh I've read it all now, why should we always be hard done by, do you like high bills?
Look, Milliband has said, actually he's guaranteed, that our energy bills will come down, so that's good enough for me! Politicians don't lie to us about this stuff you know, neither do they try to pull the proverbial wool over our eyes.

Ok, prices might not come down until 2050, maybe 2060, but they will come down *

* down for perhaps a week or two whilst still trending upwards

Serious question, how come other countries pay much less?

Well, if it's not a spike in global prices which only affected us because we are special, and it's not because of our choice to have a grossly dysfunctional privatised market with a loony basis for electricity pricing, what is it?

Conventional politics has no magic wand to wield because conventional politics got us into the mess we are in today.
You've seen them in action on the councils.

So what difference are you expecting from Reform ?

Nothing? Agreed .

Carbongerrymanderer it is axiomatic that our local councils waste taxpayers money.

What should happen, when Reform take over a council, is that all the council leaders and most of the management get booted out. That's one huge tranche of money saved. For continuity, a small number of managers can be kept on, provided that they pledge not to be loony-lefties and that that are kept under close scrutiny. Some private-sector professional accountants should then be brought in to go through the books, cut out the waste and return surpluses to the taxpayers.

They haven't done anything of the sort though.

They have proved that they can't do what they promised though

The leader of a council is an elected post. So what you said there is that when Reform get control of a council, the Reform leader should get booted out.

Have you ever heard of this thing called "thinking"?

As for the council employees, they can't just be "booted out" because we have employee protection laws.

Tell us if you think that Reform are going to go into the next election promising working people that they will be stripped of their protections so that they can be fired at will, possibly at the behest of politicians.

And even if they do, and even if enough people go "Yay - I really want to be able to be sacked for any reason - take away my protections now", they are still going to have to pass legislation, and possibly win legal challenges.

So right now, Reform councillors cannot dismiss council employees.

Have you ever heard of this thing called "thinking"?

That's one huge tranche of money saved.

Not really, because their contracts will have compensation clauses.

Tell us if you think that Reform are going to go into the next election promising that one of their guiding principles will be the illegal breaking of contracts and reneging on agreements.

Have you ever heard of this thing called "thinking"?

Tell us if you think Reform are going to go into the next election promising to repeal the Local Government and Housing Act 1989 (as amended by the Local Government Officers [Political Restriction] Regulations 1990.

Have you ever heard of this thing called "thinking"?

When you do this thing called "thinking", what "waste" do you detect?
