Reform Policies

Yes. They have proposed getting rid of the Equality Act, which contains every piece of anti discrimination legislation passed since 1965.
when they publish some more information, we can discuss it. So far a search doesn't give anything beyond a single sentence headline and a lot of outrage.

On Newsnight (Wed?), Zia Yousef stated that there were certain elements of the Act which will be amended. In particular those which disadvantage white young men. Rees-Mogg was also on the programme and was quickly shut down by Victoria Derbyshire, as he 'shockingly' AGREED with Zia's comments. It appears his response did not align with the Newsnight/BBC narrative.

Thanks, I missed that.

That is very, very different to the original announcement which said the whole Act would be repealed.

I would be interested to see more detail about which bits they are going to change and an explanation as to how that will meet their goals.

I've watched some the interview now.

Zia Yusuf is a lot less impressive when he is actually pinned down on details and isn't allowed to shout over people. He just gave a string of irrelevant waffle.

It is a fact that white young men are disadvantaged. Something that "white privilege", DEI woke preachers, like to ignore.

You didn't mention the third tier garbage, i.e. the Johnsson throwbacks that have since ended up in the RTRC (Reform Tory Refuse Collection) joke party.

White boys from poor families do indeed get the worst exam results. But what in the Equality Act causes that.

Already posted it, I think : https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2010/15/part/11/chapter/2

If everyone else gets a leg up, then you are left at a disadvantage.

The Eqaulities Act does't consider the impact of chapter 2 on those who are not considered.

find me a job advert where white boys are particularly encouraged to apply in accordance with the above.

But starting at the beginning, with school. Is there anything in the Equality Act which causes boys from poor white families to get worse results than boys from poor ethnic minority families.

You are making a good case to scrap chapter 2.

I don't have a problem with people with disabilities etc. getting a leg up. But Ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation. Why?
