Honestly if someone's got a terminal condition then I doubt that anyone would object to them getting off their head on whatever they choose.

It didn't addle their brains, and it made life easier for them to function as near normal as possible.

But you appear to be trying to suggest that if it's good for them then it must be good for you too.
