It’s like a lottery winner going into Spoons at closing time throwing bundles of £50 notes in the air. Re form will fight over who controls it and how to spend it. Remember a gift to re form is effectively a gift to Nige.
 
Its almost as if there is now a checklist of what to do: give money to the party not the person; give a lot so Nige and Co can concentrate on policy development; move back to the UK.

The weaknesses in the approach are:

1. Re form will not become an organised party with an efficient structure and policies, because Nige is a controlling leader who thrives on headline grabbing social media posts.

2. You don't give that kind of money without at least an expectation of influence or payback.

3. More moderate re form supporters will start to think it is a party run by the rich for the rich.

It’s a slow descent, they are being eaten away at from the right and left. Re sores billionaire backers are pushing hard but misunderstand the essential decency of the majority of the British public

One of the donors has lived in Thai since the 90’s but oddly doesn’t count as a foreign donor. All the money goes to Farsge’s Ltd company so it guarantees the very opposite of promoting an organised party structure, just more power to Nige. His football is now diamond studded.
