I was installing a customers cooker today when i noticed by the sink two Fused spurs, and when i say by the sink i mean about 10inches from the end of it....
asked customer who put them on, he said they were already here, it was at this point that i could not remember the reg or guidline as i never had my OSG with me.
Just been brushing up on it now and i see there is no reg, just a guidline from niceic stating 300mm, its the same with citing of sockets near a cooker, (no reg) the regs is an inch thick full of info, but maybe the iee should review domestic kitchen electrics.

Take a look at some bedsits or flats......you would be lucky to fit a socket anywhere if the regs where hard drawn.

'External Influence' is the reg you should quote - no idea of the number, regs at work.

Appreciated and point taken Lectrician, but these two particular sockets could have been cited better, nevertheless the least i would have done was box them in.
