411.3.2.1 of the 17th edition

411 is section 411
4 is part 4
41 is chapter41

There are seven parts in total

3.2.1

3 is group
2 is sub-set
1 is regulation

Is what I read,if it makes sense, but still confused myself

non the wiser still don't understand it, say page 190 section 708, what does the numbering 708.410.3 general requirements mean?

section 708
part 7
410 is the group, called general requirements
3 is the sub set, sometimes there is more than one subset
That sub set 3 has two regulations ,5 and 6, One to four probarly left out for future use.

Look at section 537 may help
part 5
section 53
That has 6 groups numbered 537.1 up to 537.6 as in the index on page 110

They break up into various sub sets for example 537.2.1 and 537.2.2

These sub sets then sometimes have a reg after them
for example 537.2.1.1 up to 537.2.1.7

The first three-digit number is where you are - Section 708 Electrical Installations in Caravan/Camping Parks...

the 410.3 refers you to regulation group 410.3 (p.44) the general requirements for protection against electric shock, which you should read in conunction with the additional (or sometimes just repeated) requirements for the special location.

If you go on a course you will be taught all this.
