Reinforced Concrete Wall Against Existing Brick

I've embarked on a project to create a lower ground in my house, we've had a company in to underpin the existing house to lower the existing 2m space under the house.

We're also building a 3m extension, we have full planning and design from a structural engineer but the architect drew the extension over the boundary line. We have an existing brick retaining wall on the boundary, my neighbours house is within 1m of the boundary.

I'm placing the reinforced concrete wall for the extension against the existing brick retaining wall.

My question is, can I just place the concrete against the brick wall or do I need to place something between them? As the neighbouring house is so close I'll be doing it in 1m sections.

What is the difference in height between you and the neighbours?
Has your SE not advised about how to proceed? This is specialist (Civil?) work, surely the company undertaking the project will be in cahoots with the SE?

On a practical note, there is no reason why the two walls can't live happily together, no.

Our houses are at the same level but for some reason my back garden is 1.7m lower.

I'm doing everything I can on the project, I would have underpinned the house if I had time on my side but working full time doesn't help. I did one underpin section and a 1m3 concrete pad to enable the installation of the steels under the house, which I also carried out.

The structural engineer only commented that moving the extension would not affect their design, which is a 300mm reinforced concrete wall with 900mm toe.

Lovely, I'll place the concrete straight onto the existing brick wall.
