I have removed some oak beading to replace solid panels with glass, marked the beading as I removed it but it will not go back in, any suggestions please?

Spring it back in

Put one end in, bow out the middle, bend the other end into place and when you let go of the middle it should snap into place

It just probably needs springing back into place.

I'm guessing that it seems to be a few millimetres too long?
By putting the one end in and bowing with little pressure at the middle of the lenght in towards the center of the panel the beading should fit into place. The beading should be fitted so that it just catches into the rebate which will allow easier fitting and finally tapped home with a piece of scrap and a hammer. Hope this is clear and helpful.
