Hi everyone. I think I'm finally at the end of my tether with my boiler so I'm looking for advice on a budget combi boiler. My current boiler - britony combi 80 is rated at 11l/m

I've heard Main boilers are worth the money, and that they use Worcester parts. Whether that is true or not I don't know. I can pick on of these up at Crossling for 575 plus vat inc flu so didn't think that was too bad but you guys will know better.

I have my gas engineer coming this morning to check out the boiler but I think I'm going to tell him enough is enough. He is a friend of the family so has offered to get me getting the boiler at cost price and just paying him for his time which will really help at the minute.

Thanks in advance, and thanks for all the help previous

How old is your current boiler? Sounds fixable to me.

So, Joe.... Given the information provided, how would you repair this boiler and make it reliable?

A Brittony Combi 80 is way past its sell by date surprised it is still going to be honest, I still see a few that are chugging away but I have changed loads over that were uneconomical to keep going

But is it more economical to replace? What's the pay-back time?

Tom Plumb, Tony Glazier and D Hailsham have taught me everything I know about heating.

Awww.... Joe knows lots of stuff..... None of it right though...
