Hello all.

I have a small WC room (950mm wide). Currently the radiator is hung on a solid brick wall, PEX pipe then chrome tails to the radiator. I would like to relocate the radiator to the opposite wall which is a stud wall. I would only need to extend both flow and return pipes by just over a meter. The floor is made of concrete, the joint I make would end up being buried into the wall.

Can someone help me understand my options.

Many thanks

Up into the ceiling, over and down in the wall. Or down, through the floor and up.

I'm considering chasing the floor and laying the pipes. But my concern is mainly around the type of connection to use as the joint will be buried either in the wall or the floor.

Solder fittings are best for this situation. Compression done properly will likely be ok, but may give problems in years to come.
