Has anyone come across this problem before, 2 year old boiler, makes booming noise for 2 - 3 seconds when starts up, checked gas air mixture, figures spot on, checked all flue joints, all ok, changed all seals on heat echanger/ burner case, no joy, found crack in heat pad around burner compartment, replaced and now its better, only makes the booming noise once a day instead of every initial light up from cold. got my head done in, any ideas. cheers chaps.

Try blowing out the burner with compressed air, also ensure the heat exchanger is clean

Clean the electrode with a brass wire brush and check spark gap.

i have a problem of very noisy boiler - when it runs through its checks and also on initial starting vibrates very loudly. gas engineer thought it was the gas valve (gas/air mix) - had this changed - although quiet for a few hours - the vibration is back. any ideas?
