Remeha Avanta E7 error code

Hi, boiler has failed and is displaying an e7 code which means "No water in the boiler or the pump is not working". At some point, I'm guessing this morning as its dry now, a burst of water has sprayed out the top of the unit from a valve on the top. Can anyone tell from this what has broken?

Sounds like your auto air vent has leaked, and your boiler has no pressure in it

Yes the pressure gauge is stuck at zero and not shifting. Job for a pro certainly. Thanks for suggestion
