Our floor boards have been covered over with a ply board, we have removed the ply only to find the floorboards are covered in staples. Can you please recommend a tool that we could use to remove these staples. We don't want to pay the earth for an all singing and dancing thing, just a tool for this one off job really. Thank you.

If the staples are flat to the floor, you could try a tack lifter (like a screwdriver with a split end). If the staples are proud of the floor, then pincers or pliers should lift them.

Thank you, the staples heads are just proud of the floor, so its a screwdriver with a split fork end. I know exactly what you mean, just need to get one tomorrow.
