removal of pvc glue

Hi
I am trying to remove the top cap from the wide down pipe in the picture.
I need to connect a new toilet sewer pipe onto it and raise the smaller 'longer' vent pipe up by 50 cm. but the cap looks like it it glued or something.

if its solvent welded you have no chance

be better off digging it out and cutting it below the joint
