Removal of skirting boards - wall damage

Ello,

In the process of removing skirting for a new floor to go down. Removing this one broke a load of plaster off the base of the wall.

What would be the best thing to do to repair this / patch up other areas of where the skirting has come out?

Cut the worst off so you have a fresh edge, stablise with PVA then skim.
