Have a 3 story town house with patio doors on the 1st floor. Making the 1st floor into an ensuite bedroom as oppose to being a living room and I would like to remove the patio doors and partially brick it up and put a big window in.

I already have a BC application in for some works but I wondered would this type of work (if allowed) just be covered under BC or would it require planning as it would be changing the external appearance slightly.

Thanks

A Juliet most likely. Stupid bloomin things.

PP probably not needed though you should check with your local authority that 'your property retains its Permitted Development rights'. In more recent developments (when these first floor juliets have become popular) they often impose restrictions on the works you can carry out using your permitted development rights. Of course your house maybe 100 years old and unique rather than recent and developer built.
