Remove radiator with 'tap' valves for decorating

I recently had a column radiator fitted which has exposed the naff wall hidden by the old (single panel) radiator.

I've found plenty of guidance on how to remove a radiator with 'conventional' valves but this one has these 'tap' valves on each end. Is there any guidance on how you shut these valves off completely allowing you to remove the radiator? I've managed to identify the 'flow' and 'return' pipes (hence the scribbling on the attached image).

Is it as simple as turning both of the taps clockwise until they're completely shut?

Turn them clockwise till shut.
Open bleed vent valve it should stop flowing if it does you can proceed.
Drain the rad

Is the pipe connecting to the rad chrome plated copper ? If it is it shouldn't be connected to a push fit fitting unless the chrome is removed .
