Removed radiator niw no hot water or heating?

as a temporary measure just connected the in and out feed together.

That would provide a quick way for hot water to return to the boiler without passing through any radiators, so I'm not surprised to hear that other radiators don't heat up. Is this bathroom radiator relatively close to the boiler? Maybe all the hot water is going that way and the boiler thermostat is turning it off.

I presume you did that because you didn't have the right fittings to cap off the siezed valves. If you're going to replace the valves with ones that aren't jammed up, do that now, turn them off, and then remove your temporary connection - and see what happens.

Thanks for your reply, already put a new rad on but nothing is working but even got any running water through hit tap now. I am convinced there must be some sludge blocking the system. Another thing is , when I drained the system 2 out of 3 ground floor rads would not drain and also have no air in them when I bleed?

No water comes out of the hot tap?!

You have a hot water cylinder, right?

Did you turn a valve off and then forget to turn it back on again?
