My kitchen was last modernised sometime in the 1970's. I want to change the layout and install a new kitchen, the current one has a separate hob and built in oven on opposite sides of the room.

Where the oven is there is no outward sign of any wiring, but obviously this must be there!

Can I use the wiring to the oven to provide the supply for the new free standing electric cooker I am getting?

it depends on what the current rating is for your new cooker, and how big the cable is for the one that is still there. seeing as you can not see its cable, you could find out how big the fuse it that supplies it in your consumers unit (unfortunately you can not just put in a bigger fuse)
